    THIS TAKES FAR TOO LONG, i could have had at least 8 motors the same size stripped the time you finish one. I TAKE A MACHETE and a HAMMER, put the motor in a vice. put the machete in one of the grooves of the steel stator. tap the machete with a hammer and it will split it and with a few more smacks with the hammer it'll cut right thru the copper quickly at that. just keep your sharpener handy and use a machete you wouldnt mind tearing up.

    Well I had a few stators needing stripping so I bought myself a machete. It beat the hell out of my hand that was holding the machete handle and left some serious damage to the blade. The problem was the staters had 4 steel alignment pins to hold the plates together. I cul through the pins and it went easy but you may want to warn your viewere to not use the machete on these pins.

      @@scrapitall200 well I cleaned up the blade and its ready for action. I have 5 more stators and a crate full of rotors. I am always looking for a better way to drive the shaft from these rotors.

      @@mattyal9347 I’m glad you got it cleaned up. I don’t remember if you saw my video where I show 3 ways to scrap armatures (rotors) I know a hydraulic press is the best to remove the shaft, but idk if you have one.

      @@scrapitall200 i did see them! Before that I was throwing the whole rotor in a crucible and melting the copper off. This method is costly and time consuming.

      Problem is it’s a straight slot screw and I’m sure you know how easy they are to strip and I also don’t have a good assortment of screw drivers. But cutting it off is no big deal to me honestly. Thank you for watching.

    Thanks for the video. My yard accepts what they call dirty brass but pay more for clean brass. So it's $4 aud for dirty brass and $6 aud for clean brass. Of course I wouldn't like to miss out on my $2 just because I didn't clean them. Thanks for the step by step video on how to clean brass

    Need to file the bottom of them brass valves a lot of them are red brass and the stems and nuts screws are yellow brass red brass is 70 percent copper its anywhere between 25 to 50 lb more for red brass over Yellow brass

      I scrap as a hobby and it’s a lot of fun. This motor took me 10 minutes. At the time I made this video it was worth about $22 in scrap. At today’s price it’s worth around $30. Thank you for watching.

    Great content and message! A small tip/suggestion... weigh your loaf pan and sharpie the weight on the side (sreetips style) and either tare out the pan before filling it up or subtract out the sharpie weight after. "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path"

    I took one of those apart before. You might have missed the chunk of steel in the bottom that acts as a weight to help keep it from tipping over. You may have also missed two small stainless rods.
